The midterm is here, as well as, a well earned break from school work! Thank you all for your hard work during the first part of this term which has been teaching both online and here at school. We hope that you had valuable time with your mentor and subject teachers during SPT days.
Every day we see happy students and staff, there is a warmth in the building. The “Stronger Together” theme has been even more important this year and Fun Fridays have been appreciated by the students. In March we raised more than 3000 SEK towards Rädda Barnens work with supplying clean drinking water to children who need it. We have actually two more planned this term: April 23rd and May 21st. PTA has also been amazing and handed out tasty treats for the students and the staff. Today, they gave sweets in Easter eggs to all students and staff outside the main entrance. Thank you!
After Easter the students in Y7-9 will be a part of “Språkolympiaden” in Swedish, French and English lessons. Språkolympiaden is a language competition where the questions are about history, grammar, literature, vocabulary etc. Read more at www.ilcompetition.se.
The spring is here and so is the Pollen season. Please follow the guidelines in the letter from our school nurse on dealing with pollen allergies during covid times.
The intake for next year has gone well and we have, of course, postponed the Introduction Day for our new students. We really hope we can meet them anytime before August to give them a good introduction before they start at IESJ.
After Easter we only have two months left until the Summer break, time flies. This being the last two months for our Year 9, and we will be trying to make these last 2 months as normal as possible, supporting them to achieve their best academically before they leave us, and by celebrating graduation and prom in covid-adapted ways.
Take care and enjoy Easter!
